Sam joined the Company in 2021 as High Exposure Claims Counsel conducting complex title investigations into claims with an exposure of over $1 million dollars throughout the eastern seaboard. He handled in depth coverage analysis of claims under both owners and loan policies. Sam also managed and directed outside counsel in complex title litigation across multiple jurisdictions as well as for suits against the Company.
 
Formerly in private practice, Sam acted as both general counsel and litigation counsel for condominium and homeowners’ associations throughout the state of Florida involving association governance and regulatory framework, as well as real estate issues. He started his legal career as a prosecutor in Jacksonville where he prosecuted violent crimes and drug crimes.

Sam is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Florida Land Title Association, and Chester Bedell Inn of Court. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina, graduating cum laude, and earned his B.A. from University of Maryland, College Park.
 
Sam lives in Ponte Vedra, Florida. When he’s not enjoying spending time with his wife, daughter, and golden retriever, he keeps busy exercising, playing golf and pickleball. Sam’s favorite teams to root for are the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and the Maryland Terrapins.
